Celebrated Shakespeare’s birthday recently and found out that he invented the phrase : Green eyed monster’ among many others, many of which I thankfully knew about and many others I did not. I always thought Lewis Carroll first used : “Off with his head!” But no, that was also our dear Bard’s invention.
Anyway, somehow that reminded me of the red-eyed green frogs we saw in Costa Rica that I had not actually edited any decent photos of. The frogs are so beautiful, and despite being red-eyed are pretty peace loving and look for only love 😀 Even saw the results of their love (the eggs hanging in the underside of the leaves, that drop off into pools of water as the tadpoles hatch). I keep the photos dated from when I took them, not when I edited them so I can keep the places I visited in chronological order.. somewhat. But in reality, it seems to me I just took these as I had forgotten just how beautiful these frogs were..

Another one, this time brand new for the photochallenge Wanderlust..Â
One of my favorite photos. The best part is I forgot I took it. That’s the second b&w one where the eagle is looking right at me. The other I do remember taking, notice the difference in my Always sloppy and sometimes present watermarks. It is a Harpy Eagle, most majestic eagle I have ever seen. I hope to see one in the wild but this beauty was in the Belize zoo.

While I am still as reticent about  editing as ever, read, I still don’t like it, I don’t care if people think it is ‘professional’, I am a better amateur than all those facebook professionals…Anyway.. I was saying while I still don’t care for it much and I certainly did not look or follow anyone’s instructions on video on how to edit my photographs ( that is not something I do out of pride, I just don’t like videos, they waste too much of my time getting to the point, I would take written instructions A.N.Y. D.A.Y.  over videos). I think the green and the yellow in a photo, really are anti: one or the other. Since I professed to be an amateur already, I would like to know if there is a setting that increases the green in the image over the yellow, instead of the other way round, which is usually the case with my photos.
Anyway, here is my gallery for different greens on birds and trees, and the moss on the abandoned machine. To be back among them, is all I want for christmas, valentine’s, birthday, and any other holiday you can think of.
This spider monkey reminded me of myself. On the many days I am depressed, alone among friends (this one was in the Belize Zoo). He or she looks old, maybe a little ill too. But the eyes, told me all. The photo is from Dec 2015. I had all but forgotten her. I had all but forgotten me.
