Images from my soul, dedicated to the world that makes me
I am beholden to a cousin who introduced me to Sennelier Oil pastels, I have used them in paintings in other projects (exotic life, instinctively human) too. Their colors are light resistant, add real life to all subjects and objects. For Langoti-the-leiothrix, there really was no other medium to bring it to life, every shade of yellow and orange in the box was used with some red. Leiothrix (a sparrow sized bird from Himalayan foothills) are one of my favorite birds.. The flowers are from my series of “Blooming blues”, mostly with prismacolor pencil and took way longer, in many cases especially the delphiniums, than most of my canvases take these days. Hence a special place for them here, just like in my garden.
