Mating stick insects. I am not sure what the bulbous growth on the female reflects, aging or disease.. Does anyone know? Not a very clear image.. but hey… they have rights to some privacy.

This one sits on the same spot every night, at the Asa Wright Nature Center. Has feasted on whole Kiskadees, according to witnesses.

My favorite landscape shot from Trinidad, though it was intended to be a shot of the beautiful long winged Harrier. Their heart shaped faces, lined with yellow feathers and marked with a curved beak are almost owl like
